Sandy FOP stands with those who serve our community every day

Our vision is to support the families of the Sandy City, Utah Police Department by promoting their welfare and best interests. To support the officers of Sandy City and to unite them with the community. To provide avenues for the publicto uplift our first responders and show support for what they do.

In the 2002 State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush called on all Americans to serve a cause greater than themselves. VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) is that opportunity. VIPS was created to assist in the services that the Sandy City Police Department provides to the community. VIPS are highly trained individuals who act as an extra set of eyes and ears for the Police Department. They report any suspicious activity that they see to patrol personnel on shift. They also help with other community oriented policing functions.
